Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our modern surgical center in Buffalo, New York, where we prioritize patient care in a collaborative and respectful atmosphere. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, covering 40 hours per week, starting at 5:00 pm. Our facility is equipped with advanced medical technology designed to streamline patient workflows and support comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams and evaluate patients' medical histories to develop a thorough understanding of their health status.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies, to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute illnesses and health conditions, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatments.
• Develop detailed treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, leveraging evidence-based practices to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, ensuring safe medication management and monitoring patient responses to therapy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and schedules, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while providing seamless care coordination.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures, fostering a partnership in health.
• Foster an environment of continuous learning through participation in professional development and relevant medical research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve a varied patient demographic typical of an urgent care environment, including individuals with acute healthcare needs across all ages. You will play a crucial role in managing diverse cases, from minor injuries to more complex health issues, emphasizing patient-centered care and education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Eligibility for board certification as a Physician Assistant, with a strong preference for specialization in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• An unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State, alongside a valid DEA license.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable to enhance communication with our diverse patient demographic.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Quest Urgent Care offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package.
