Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ mental health and substance use issues, recognizing co-occurring disorders while employing empathetic communication techniques.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, educating clients on coping mechanisms, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills to empower their recovery journey.

Your work will primarily support adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including anxiety, depression, alcohol use, drug dependence, and other related challenges. This population often requires a nuanced understanding and an integrated treatment approach. Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid California licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
