Work Environment

This position offers the unique opportunity to work onsite with patients in their homes, providing a flexible and rewarding setting that meets patients where they feel most comfortable. Our home care program allows you to build strong relationships with clients while utilizing state-of-the-art rehabilitation techniques. You will be working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to determine individual needs and goals.
• Create tailored and comprehensive treatment plans that include a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Employ evidence-based interventions and cost-effective treatments to improve patient mobility and functional outcomes.
• Focus on non-surgical alternatives, educating patients on the benefits of conservative management to reduce medication reliance.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload, ensuring focused and quality care for each individual.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment experience for patients.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey, promoting strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our home care program, your primary focus will be on outpatient clients who require rehabilitation services due to injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will be instrumental in helping patients regain independence and improve functionality across various age ranges, from post-operative elder care to sports rehabilitation for active adults.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia without any history of sanctions.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for documentation.
• Strong commitment to staying current with evidence-based therapy practices to ensure the highest quality of care.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, particularly in home care, will find this role advantageous. Experience with orthopedic conditions and a proven track record of successful patient outcomes will enhance your suitability for this position. Familiarity with a variety of rehabilitation techniques and tools is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

Main Line Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
