Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Physical Therapist will encompass a variety of essential responsibilities aimed at improving patient functionality and quality of life:

• Direct physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function in accordance with tailored care plans.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the accurate execution of prescribed therapies.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests and dynamic assessments.
• Assess patients' home environments and provide recommendations to enhance their independence and safety.
• Develop and implement manual therapeutic exercises, while also instructing and motivating clients through non-manual exercises and functional activities.
• Administer additional therapeutic techniques, including massage and traction, while applying various physical agents to aid recovery.
• Evaluate and make necessary adaptations for prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating closely with physicians for modifications.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including initial assessments, ongoing evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to summarize patient progress and contribute to collaborative care plans.
• Provide education sessions for clients and their families regarding home therapy devices and overall treatment programs.
• Be accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Tackle additional assignments as directed, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with an active and valid license issued in the State of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills coupled with a demonstrated ability to engage with patients and families effectively.

• A deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to physical therapy practice.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Encompass Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary within the range of USD 100,000 to USD 110,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
