Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' physical capabilities and developing individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring mobility.
• Directing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment strategies, ensuring adherence to the established plan of care.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and treatments, performing manual therapy techniques, and utilizing modalities such as massage and traction to aid in rehabilitation.
• Evaluating clients' home environments and making modifications or recommendations to support enhanced independence and safety.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and plans of care, to facilitate effective communication with healthcare teams.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and tailoring care strategies based on collaborative feedback.
• Engaging and educating clients and their families about treatment plans, therapeutic devices, and promoting adherence to their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele encompassing individuals experiencing orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and age-related mobility challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs and capabilities of each patient, ensuring that you provide not only physical support but also emotional encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in New Jersey, with an in-good-standing status.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrable passion for patient care, clinical excellence, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with additional experience in manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, or experience with specialized therapeutic modalities will be given preference. Experience in case management and familiarity with patient care software or electronic health records is also advantageous.
