Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Outpatient Specialist

Position Overview

The Motion and Health Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Morganville, New Jersey. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about providing high-quality care in an orthopedic outpatient setting. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, maintaining a healthy work-life balance while performing essential duties aimed at improving patient function and quality of life.

Work Environment

You will find yourself in a friendly, multispecialty atmosphere where collaboration is the cornerstone of our patient care approach. Our facility is structured to allow for streamlined communication among team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurse practitioners. With a caseload capped at three patients per hour, you will have ample opportunity to engage with patients thoroughly, assess their needs, and implement tailored treatment plans that leverage your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of adult patients aged 40 to 65 presenting with various orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and degenerative issues.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including medical doctors, occupational therapists, and physician assistants, to provide holistic care that aligns with individual patient goals.
• Utilize CureMD EMR to accurately document treatment interventions, monitor patient progress, and adapt therapy plans as needed, ensuring high standards of care.
• Design and implement personalized treatment strategies incorporating manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients, aged 40-65, who exhibit orthopedic conditions. This demographic often requires specialized attention and tailored interventions to address their unique needs post-injury or post-surgery. Understanding the nuances of this age group's physical capabilities will enable you to foster effective rehabilitation strategies that promote a speedy return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, alongside an active New Jersey Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and a problem-solving approach to work effectively with patients and healthcare colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• While at least two years of outpatient experience is preferred, we strongly encourage new graduates with innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to apply.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly in documenting patient interactions and treatment plans, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
