Collections Representative (Remote)

We're seeking a Collections Representative for a 60-day contract assignment to help reduce outstanding accounts receivable balances through customer outreach, account investigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately $10M in accounts receivable using aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
• Contact customers regarding unpaid or overdue invoices and confirm payment status and timelines.
• Collect payments, document account activity, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and manage tickets within Salesforce or a similar CRM.
• Research and investigate invoice discrepancies, missing information, and reconciliation issues.
• Partner with project managers and finance teams to resolve outstanding accounts.
• Research updated customer contact information when needed.
• Utilize basic Excel functions to track, organize, and support AR activities.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing AR backlog while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Collections.
• Experience reviewing aging reports and managing past-due accounts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
• Ability to investigate account issues and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Basic Excel skills, including sorting and filtering.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Full-cycle AR experience.
• Collections customer service background.
• Salesforce experience.
• Data entry experience related to financial records.
• Ability to work within Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position supporting a fast-paced accounts receivable team. The role involves frequent customer outreach, CRM documentation, Excel-based tracking, and collaboration with internal teams across multiple U.S. locations. Success requires strong organization, accountability, and follow-through.

This is a Contract position based out of Chino Hills, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
