Role Description The Payroll Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Newport Beach, CA. This position is responsible for processing weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in hours, rates, deductions, and benefits. Day-to-day tasks include answering phones, maintaining payroll records, verifying timecards, handling payroll adjustments, and other various small tasks for management and accounting. The Payroll Clerk will respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and timekeeping. The role also involves collaborating with HR and accounting teams to support compliance with company policies and applicable labor guidelines. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Payroll Services and Payroll Administration, including end-to-end processing and record maintenance. Experience with Payroll Management, such as handling multiple pay cycles and supporting reporting needs. Some knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels. Foundational Accounting skills to reconcile payroll entries and support financial accuracy. Proficiency with SAGE 100 software and timekeeping systems; intermediate skills in MS Excel and other office applications. Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and capacity to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear, professional communication skills in both English and Spanish, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in construction or trades-focused environments is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, prevailing wage knowledge is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
