Work Environment\n

This role is specifically remote, allowing for a flexible work setup that can adapt to the needs of both our patients and counselors. While the core hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we understand the importance of flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient requests or crises. The role provides access to various digital tools and resources to ensure seamless communication and documentation, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate individual patient needs and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that include measurable goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups that empower patients, normalize experiences, and foster community among participants.

• Collaborate with medical professionals including psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure integrated care and a comprehensive approach to patient wellness.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support, equipping patients with immediate coping strategies during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making and autonomy.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless communication across the interdisciplinary team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Hope Care, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those experiencing mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and various substance use issues. Our center prioritizes providing culturally competent care, recognizing and respecting the individual backgrounds and experiences of our patients. This commitment strengthens our therapeutic relationships and enhances patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
