Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gather clinical history and provide a supportive first interaction for clients.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through evidence-based assessment tools.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized, family, or group treatment plans based on assessed needs and therapeutic goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and dynamic individual and group therapy sessions to promote emotional expression and coping strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients’ progress towards their treatment goals, documenting changes and adjustments to the plan as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop holistic and coordinated care strategies.
\n
• Provide follow-up consultations for clients who have been hospitalized or need ongoing support post-discharge.
\n
• Proactively identify potential barriers or behaviors that could hinder a client's recovery and strategize interventions to address them.
\n
• Engage with family members and primary caregivers to equip them with skills and resources to support their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied client base that includes individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. The telehealth model allows us to connect with clients who may experience barriers to receiving care in traditional settings, providing you the unique opportunity to help individuals who may otherwise go without essential mental health support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, including working with individuals, groups, or families, is preferred.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of the impact of medication prescribed for mental health and its interactions with therapeutic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available for exceptional candidates.
