Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary client interviews to gather comprehensive information and document case histories from the initial consultation through the culmination of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental and emotional health by administering assessments and engaging in active listening, ensuring a detailed understanding of their challenges.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based approaches for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that utilize therapeutic tools aimed at fostering personal and emotional growth.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting therapeutic strategies as necessary to enhance recovery outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health specialists, medical doctors, and social workers, to formulate comprehensive intervention plans.

• Actively follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

As a counselor at San Antonio Counseling Services, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and various emotional and behavioral challenges. Your interventions will cater to people of all ages, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds, thereby promoting inclusive mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
