Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document client cases from the initial consultation through the conclusion of therapy.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, whether for individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using a variety of therapeutic techniques catered to diverse client backgrounds.

• Monitor and assess client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other mental health specialists, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Support clients during psychiatric hospitalizations by maintaining communication with medical professionals and following up on treatment recommendations.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, providing strategic guidance to clients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, addressing various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and addiction disorders. Your expertise in understanding the intersections of physical and mental health conditions will be paramount as you help clients navigate their challenges. Our practice emphasizes a client-centered approach, empowering individuals by incorporating their personal experiences and perspectives into their treatment plans.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong clinical skills with previous experience as a mental health counselor.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline documentation and case management.

• Awareness of the latest trends and best practices in mental health counseling, with an emphasis on the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards.

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, alongside a compassionate and approachable demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience dealing with clients suffering from underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as those facing addiction challenges.

• Knowledge of commonly prescribed medications and their potential effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
