Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day duties will encompass a variety of essential activities aimed at providing top-notch therapy services:

• Create and implement personalized therapy strategies tailored to individual client needs, conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, employing diverse modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards, ensuring client confidentiality and compliance with state regulations.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans and integrating feedback to enhance client outcomes.

• Offer guidance and support to clients facing a range of challenges, including mental health disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field of mental health, incorporating new research findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse population of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges. Many of our clients come from underprivileged backgrounds with limited access to mental health services, including those facing trauma, substance misuse, and ongoing relational difficulties. We aim to build a supportive therapeutic alliance that fosters trust and open communication, allowing clients to explore their concerns in a safe environment.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

• A strong foundation in counseling principles, gained from at least two years of relevant clinical experience.

• A deep understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to the practice of counseling.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling strong rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team to promote holistic client care.

Preferred Experience\n
