RN Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to individuals experiencing acute medical conditions. The nurse must demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, with a minimum of one year of ER nursing experience preferred. Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
• Float to other units or departments as required by staffing needs.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Nebraska.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Room nursing or related acute care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification.
• Experience with emergency department protocols and procedures.
• Additional certifications relevant to emergency nursing.

• Night shift work from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• May be required to float to other units, departments, or patient care areas based on staffing and operational needs.
• Must be able to handle high-stress emergency situations with professionalism and composure.

• 12-hour night shifts, typically from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Shift assignments based on departmental needs and staffing requirements.
