Work Environment\n

This role is performed remotely, providing the flexibility to work from home while still being integrated into our compassionate healthcare team. Your work will largely consist of virtual therapy sessions and collaboration with other healthcare providers, utilizing technology to maintain effective communication and care coordination. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations, utilizing appropriate tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to identify mental health conditions and to create personalized care plans.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, using evidence-based practices to adjust interventions as needed and ensure alignment with their mental health goals.

• Document and maintain accurate treatment records and reports using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.

• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address individual needs, promote desired outcomes, and enhance overall patient care.

• Facilitate and coordinate referrals to other treatment providers, ensuring continuity of care and establishing strong professional relationships throughout the healthcare community.

• Provide education and mentorship for students, interns, and new staff, while participating in peer review and clinical collaborations to enhance team development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals and families navigating the emotional complexities of cancer. This includes addressing issues of grief, anxiety, and depression associated with a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. Your work will not only assist patients in understanding and coping with their condition but also provide familial support systems that are critical to comprehensive care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in palliative care, oncology, or hospice settings will be highly valued, as it equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support patients facing serious health challenges. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and advanced therapeutic techniques enhances your ability to meet diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
