Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work opportunity, allowing you to engage with clients effectively from your home office while maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic. You will become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that includes educators, psychologists, and other healthcare providers who are committed to creating a supportive atmosphere. Your work will primarily occur during standard school hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring that you align with school schedules for maximum engagement with students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify their emotional, behavioral, and social needs using standardized assessment tools and individualized interviews.

• Develop customized care plans that address the unique challenges faced by students, integrating input from teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals.

• Provide direct counseling services to students through individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Offer guidance to families, helping them to navigate the complexities of their children’s needs, and coordinate care with other professionals as necessary.

• Implement innovative mental health techniques, such as mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies, to improve coping skills and promote resilience among students.

• Maintain detailed and confidential case documentation and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices.

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to foster collaboration and continuous improvement among staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related concerns. Your focus will be on providing culturally competent care that acknowledges the diverse backgrounds of your clients and engages them through tailored therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and active LCSW license in the state of New Jersey.

• Experience with school-based mental health is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n
