Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Fredericksburg. Our scheduling promotes a work-life balance, with a standard work week from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations, which include reviewing patient history and conducting specific assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Clearly communicate evaluation findings to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process for their rehabilitation journey.

• Implement effective treatment protocols based on patient evaluations and evolving healthcare standards, ensuring the highest quality of care.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary, documenting any notable changes in patients' conditions that may require updates to the care plan.

• Complete discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely to reflect the patient's treatment course.

• Maintain effective time management strategies while adhering to productivity expectations and actively participate in hospital and community outreach programs.

• Contribute to departmental goals and comply with relevant regulations, ensuring we meet the highest quality and accreditation standards.

• Strive to enhance the overall patient experience through customer service excellence and adaptability to patients' needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. The primary focus is to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and improve the quality of life through evidence-based therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia, as required by state law.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong preference for outpatient rehabilitation.

• Experience using evidence-based practices and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
