Health First Psychotherapy Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the mental well-being of clients by delivering professional counseling services. You will conduct thorough evaluations, create individualized treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's needs.

This role is conducted entirely remotely, allowing mental health professionals the flexibility to deliver quality care from the comfort of their own setting, while still being deeply integrated into a collaborative clinic environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments, including in-depth interviews and documentation from the first consultation to the completion of treatment, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client's history and needs.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health using a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that reflect the latest developments in psychotherapy.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities appropriate for the client population encountered.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on their progress and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare specialists, including mental health professionals, primary care physicians, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention plans.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have been hospitalized to ensure a smooth transition back to outpatient care.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that may impede recovery, providing guidance and resources to both clients and their families.
\n
• Provide support and education to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage and understand mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals grappling with various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and substance use issues. You'll engage with clients from different backgrounds, each with unique stories and challenges, requiring a culturally sensitive and adaptable approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
\n
• Passage of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Experience as a mental health counselor, exhibiting a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health issues, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Familiarity with commonly prescribed pharmaceutical treatments and their mental health effects.

• Your excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to convey empathetic understanding and clinical insight.

• Outstanding interpersonal capabilities, essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
