Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their histories and needs from the outset of therapy through to follow-up assessments.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing evidence-based practices to formulate accurate diagnoses.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for various client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on client empowerment and skill-building.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers to devise comprehensive intervention strategies for clients.

• Conduct follow-up sessions with hospitalized clients, maintaining communication with attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• A proactive approach to professional development, maintaining familiarity with the latest mental health practices as endorsed by organizations like the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient client documentation.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, evidenced by experience in producing client reports and engaging client narratives.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous professional experience as a mental health counselor is preferred, particularly in a community health or clinical setting.

• Keen understanding of physical and emotional health co-morbidities and their impact on mental health, along with experience addressing addiction disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
