Work Environment\n

This full-time position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to provide critical counseling services from the comfort of your home while maintaining a direct connection with students and educational staff. You will collaborate virtually with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to create a supportive network for students. Working full-time hours, you may also have occasional evening and weekend responsibilities, depending on student needs and your assigned caseload.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews, observations, and medical record reviews to evaluate students' emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their academic and personal success.

• Providing individual and family counseling to help students cope with various issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma.

• Collaborating with teachers, school counselors, and other mental health professionals to devise comprehensive, individualized intervention strategies aimed at enhancing students’ learning experiences and emotional health.

• Facilitating access to necessary community resources, including mental health services, support groups, and crisis intervention, ensuring students receive holistic support.

• Participating in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, contributing your insights on psychosocial aspects of their education.

• Providing educational workshops and resources to faculty and parents about mental health awareness, emotional well-being, and coping strategies for children and adolescents.

• Engaging actively in discharge planning when students transition back to regular education after receiving special services, ensuring continuity of support.

Your primary clientele will encompass a diverse group of students from various backgrounds and experiences, each facing unique emotional and social challenges. This role requires cultural competence and sensitivity to understand and address the differing needs of the student population effectively, particularly in a school setting where issues of social dynamics, family systems, and peer interactions are highly pertinent.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado.
