Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, while meticulously documenting each session.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are culturally competent and aligned with clients’ personal goals and challenges.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques that promote engagement and healing.

• Monitor and document client progress in accordance with their treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and observed indicators.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of services.

• Effectively manage referrals and coordinate care with external specialists, including psychiatrists, when necessary.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience working in a mental health counseling capacity, demonstrating a sound understanding of therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate and secure documentation.

• Experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders and familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
