Associate Faculty Pool, Engineering (PT Faculty)

Associate Faculty Pool, Engineering (PT Faculty) Location: Lynnwood, Washington Short‑term, part‑time faculty are needed to teach Engineering courses at Edmonds College. Candidates will facilitate student learning through lecture, discussion, hands‑on labs, online resources, and collaborative learning, and will develop and implement methods to assess student progress. Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with significant industry experience. Teaching experience at the university, college, high school, or professional training level. Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Commitment to creating a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment. Demonstrated ability to reflect on personal and professional growth and to advance equitable instructional practices. Physical Work Environment Work is performed in a classroom setting, requiring standing and/or sitting for extended periods. Instructors use a personal computer as part of their teaching duties. Compensation Salary is based on an eleven‑week quarterly schedule and varies with contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five‑credit lecture‑mode class is approximately $6,387.94. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated at the CBA rate of $55 for meetings lasting 30 minutes to 2 hours. Conditions of Employment Citizenship or employment authorization must be documented within three days of hire. A criminal background check will be conducted before hire; the result will be considered in assessing suitability for the position. New positions are contingent on funding.
