As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Health Comfort, you will work in a dynamic remote setting while maintaining a connection to our outpatient office in Brookhaven. You will primarily engage with clients via telehealth platforms and may occasionally meet in-person at our office, promoting a comprehensive, integrated approach to treatment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders by evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning your therapeutic goals with their specific needs and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Adopt a continuous monitoring approach to track clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans accordingly.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive, well-rounded treatment plan that addresses both psychological and pharmacological needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continually refine your therapeutic approaches.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and align with best practices.

• Act as an advocate for clients, helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are prioritized.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our diverse clientele requires a compassionate, culturally competent approach to therapy, which you will provide through personalized attention and specialized treatment modalities.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
