Accounting Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a part-time contract opportunity with an architectural and design services organization in San Francisco, CA. This role will support the Controller with billing, accounts payable, and general accounting tasks during a software conversion project. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who enjoys accurate, hands-on work and wants exposure to billing processes, accounting systems, and a collaborative office environment. The team offers training on Deltek Vision, supportive leadership, and a flexible part-time schedule while working onsite with finance and operations professionals. Key Responsibilities Support the Controller with daily accounting and administrative tasks. Assist with billing activities, including preparing, reviewing, and processing invoices. Handle basic accounts payable support, including invoice entry and payment-related documentation. Use Deltek Vision, Excel, and Word to complete accounting records and reports. Maintain accurate financial documentation during a temporary software conversion period. Communicate with internal team members to resolve billing or accounts payable questions. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour. Job type: Contract/Temporary. Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week. Flexible part-time schedule. Work arrangement: 100% onsite in San Francisco, CA. Assignment length: Temporary opportunity expected to last a few months during a software conversion.
