Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify patient needs, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.

• Deliver crisis intervention and on-going counseling services to patients, using telehealth technologies to facilitate engagement and support during critical moments.

• Perform follow-up care and continuous monitoring to ensure adherence to treatment plans and adjust approaches as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Department of Corrections staff to ensure seamless access to mental health services, appropriate housing arrangements, and effective treatment pathways for all incarcerated clients.

• Lead group therapy sessions in various units, employing evidence-based techniques to foster group dynamics and provide peer support.
\n
• Document all patient interactions and complete required statistical reporting in compliance with organizational standards, ensuring all records are updated and accessible.
\n
• Engage in weekly clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor to discuss cases and improve therapeutic skills.
\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary mental health and medical rounds to discuss patient care strategies and share insights with colleagues.
\n
• Take part in case conferences to collaborate on treatment planning for patients currently in care or under consideration for mental health services.
\n
• Administer psychological testing when required and contribute to the development of treatment protocols based on obtained results.
\n
• Oversee and mentor social work interns or student volunteers, providing guidance in clinical practices and professional development.
\n
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, or Clinical Supervisor to enhance patient care and organizational efficiency.

This role primarily serves incarcerated individuals seeking mental health support. Given the challenges associated with their circumstances, you will be essential in providing compassionate care that addresses complex mental health needs, including those struggling with substance use disorders, severe mental illness, and behavioral issues. Your expertise will aid in facilitating smoother transitions to community-based resources post-incarceration.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health licensure as either an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience providing direct clinical care in a behavioral health setting, with three additional years post-licensure experience specifically focused on mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing targeted treatment for individuals with behavioral issues, substance use histories, and serious mental illnesses.

• Previous work within correctional facilities or related settings, demonstrating familiarity with unique patient challenges in these environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
