Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to help patients navigate their mental health and substance use challenges.

• Engage with clients through scheduled therapy sessions, providing support, guidance, and encouragement.
\n
• Facilitate or co-facilitate therapist-led peer support groups and optional "Expert Insights" sessions, sharing valuable knowledge and fostering community.
\n
• Stay informed about community recovery support options, advocating for client involvement in groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Smart Recovery.
\n
• Participate in a peer support network, enhancing clinical skills through collaboration and shared experiences with fellow professionals.
\n
• Complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually as part of professional development, with costs covered by the organization.
\n
• Manage client referrals and ensure a seamless intake process for new patients, while maintaining a focus on optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clinical work will focus on a diverse group of clients seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol. Many will be navigating varying degrees of substance use, from those seeking moderation to individuals aiming for complete abstinence. Your ability to apply a harm-reduction model will be crucial in providing support and encouraging clients to integrate community recovery resources into their treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; advanced degrees preferred.

• Demonstrated experience or training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practices.

• Strong clinical engagement skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion in all interactions.

• Understanding of community resources and the support options available to patients, including but not limited to AA and Moderation Management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients struggling with alcohol use and mental health challenges.

• Previous telehealth counseling experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with the harm-reduction model in treatment practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
