Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Carle, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with various functional limitations and disabilities, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions and continuously re-evaluating patient progress.
• Educating patients and their families on treatment objectives, methods, and expected outcomes to ensure full understanding and compliance.
• Documenting all treatment plans, evaluations, and patient progress accurately and consistently.
• Collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary treatment team, physicians, and support staff to promote a continuum of care.
• Supervising support staff and providing mentorship, guidance, and education to improve overall departmental efficiency.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and neurological conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from children to geriatric populations, ensuring a diverse and enriching caseload. You will play a vital role in optimizing their physical function, assisting them to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in electronic health records and documentation procedures.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experiences, such as specialized certifications in orthopedics, sports medicine, or neurology, will be preferred.
