Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of couples and family dynamics to identify areas of concern.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, while also providing individual therapy sessions as needed to address personal issues and strengthen overall family relationships.
• Developing tailored therapy plans that address specific challenges, including but not limited to conflicts among family members, substance abuse, grief and loss, and communication difficulties.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote constructive family interactions and resolve internal conflicts.
• Documenting therapy sessions and client progress accurately in our electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers and specialists to enhance comprehensive care and referral processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will work primarily with families, couples, adults, and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health issues. Your expertise will be essential in addressing complex challenges such as:

• Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
• Psychological and physical abuse within family settings.
• Grief and loss facilitation.
• Conflicts among family members and siblings.
• Adjustments related to separation and divorce.
• Communication difficulties and emotional cut-offs between family members.
• Blended families resulting from remarriage.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position must meet the following credentials:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• An active and valid state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A commitment to continuous professional growth and development in therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome both newly licensed and experienced candidates, preference will be given to those who demonstrate:

• A proven ability to manage diverse cases involving complex family issues.
• Experience with teletherapy platforms and innovative therapeutic techniques.

• Flexible availability with capacity for 30+ clinical hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits
