Work Environment\n

The position promotes a supportive and collaborative remote working environment. You will engage with a dynamic interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists. Although the primary work setting is remote, your contributions will be anchored in our outpatient office in Naperville, allowing a blend of virtual and in-person collaboration as needed. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours based on the client appointment schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments that evaluate clients’ psychological and substance use histories, facilitating the identification of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based methods tailored to their unique needs.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at developing vital coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Engage in multidisciplinary care coordination; liaise with psychiatrists, substance use specialists, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment.

• Perform routine substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to cultivate a supportive recovery environment.

• Educate clients and their families on the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders to foster understanding and compliance with treatment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment interventions, progress notes, and referrals in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and relevant training sessions focused on co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing co-occurring mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. In your role, you will encounter the challenges that these individuals face, which often include barriers to compliance and the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journeys, helping them reclaim their lives and achieve sustainable wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.

• Proven competency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Deep understanding of the interaction between mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, essential for working with a diverse interdisciplinary team.
