Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibility will be to provide therapeutic assessments, interventions, and support for individuals, couples, and families. Your typical day may involve:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, relational dynamics, and overall wellbeing.

• Facilitating both joint therapy sessions for couples and individual therapy sessions, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Addressing various issues such as alcohol abuse, grief and loss, family conflicts, communication difficulties, and challenges posed by blended families.

• Developing personalized treatment plans and engaging in ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress.

• Documentation of client sessions and maintaining concise and secure records according to privacy regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse population, working primarily with adults, children, and adolescents. Clients may be navigating complex issues such as:

• Substance abuse and dependence, requiring compassionate and evidence-based interventions.

• Emotional and psychological distress stemming from past traumas or significant life changes, such as divorce or job loss.

• Family dynamics including stepfamily situations, sibling conflicts, and intergenerational relationships.

Your role is pivotal in creating a safe space for clients to explore their feelings and establish healthier relationships.\n

Qualifications\n

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
