Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments for students, exploring their emotional and behavioral needs.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans, focusing on fostering mental well-being and integration into the educational environment.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional and behavioral disabilities, and ADHD.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to promote personal growth, emotional regulation, and life coping strategies.

• Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive care aligned with student needs.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention strategies and support during acute mental health situations.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health challenges, resources, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions in alignment with legal and ethical regulations.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through team meetings and case conferences to remain aligned with the best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will focus on students with special needs who may struggle with conditions such as ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma-related issues. Your expertise will guide these students toward better emotional health and active participation in their educational journeys, fostering a safe and supportive school environment.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care.

• Proficient in conducting thorough mental health assessments and formulating treatment strategies.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with vulnerable populations.

• Sound judgment with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably focusing on children or adolescents with special needs.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
