Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand each patient's mental health status, utilizing appropriate tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate the latest evidence-based therapeutic modalities, focusing on the specific needs and cultural backgrounds of your patients.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational procedures.

• Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and support patients in achieving their identified goals.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, as well as engage patients in developing their care plans, fostering a sense of ownership and empowerment in their treatment process.

• Coordinate referrals for specialized services and additional support, serving as a critical link between patients and other treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to interns and students in mental health disciplines, contributing to their professional development and growth.

• Participate in clinical review processes, offering peer support to colleagues and engaging in team-building activities to enhance group dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a Mental Health Counselor will involve working with a diverse patient population in the Fresno, California area, tackling various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders. A strong focus will be placed on understanding the sociocultural factors that influence each patient’s mental health, ensuring you can deliver personalized and culturally competent care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, along with a valid and current California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in providing mental health services, especially in a remote or telehealth context preferred.
