Position Overview

Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Floater Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This unique position allows you to work across multiple facilities, adapting quickly to different clinical environments and providing essential support where patient needs are the highest. In this role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment strategies that aim to enhance our patients' mobility, alleviate pain, and restore functionality through effective rehabilitative practices.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our Deerfield Beach rehabilitation facility, an environment designed for the highest quality care. The facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and resources to ensure that you can provide top-tier care to your patients. As a floater therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in various units and adapt to diverse patient needs, ensuring that you remain engaged and challenged every day. Your schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility needed to accommodate patient sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and reassessments to ascertain patients' individual physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate both patient goals and clinical findings.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, nursing staff, and other specialists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Provide versatile coverage across multiple hospital units and rehabilitation facilities according to staffing requirements.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation in line with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Educate patients and their families on at-home rehabilitation exercises, mobility strategies, and preventive measures against injuries.
• Facilitate safe discharges and mobility plans by coordinating with case management and social work to ensure comprehensive care.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation needs, and chronic pain conditions. Your work will have a direct impact on improving patients' quality of life, enhancing their mobility, and enabling them to achieve personal health and wellness goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is essential.
• Current licensing as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida, or eligibility for licensure before hiring.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or acute care setting is preferred; consideration will be given to new graduates with notable clinical rotations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong clinical reasoning abilities, in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, are critical for success.
• Willingness to travel between various sites within the facility's network is essential, and mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle will be provided.
• You must be flexible with your schedule to accommodate potential weekend or holiday work as needed.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years in a hospital or acute care environment is desirable, we value fresh perspectives from new graduates who have demonstrated strong clinical competence during their training. Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by additional travel reimbursements to support your mobility between facilities.
