Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally relevant mental health assessments to capture the unique experiences of each patient and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusted according to each individual's personal and cultural background.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on creating a safe space that encourages open dialogue and healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s health.

• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, utilizing your expertise to de-escalate situations effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources, promoting empowerment and informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to all legal and ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will include individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant populations. Through understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by these groups, you will play a crucial role in promoting resilience and enhancing mental health outcomes. Each session will provide you with opportunities to learn from your clients and adapt your therapeutic practices to best meet their needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/MHSP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee.

• Robust knowledge of various mental health disorders, therapeutic interventions, and an unwavering commitment to cultural competence.

• Prior experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly using approaches that are inclusive and culturally responsive.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with composure and professionalism.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport with a diverse range of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general proficiency in computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
