Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and determine tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), creating a structured framework for patient growth and healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to assist patients in processing their traumatic experiences, enhance coping strategies, and promote holistic healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive and integrated care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms; empower them to utilize available resources strategically.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. You will be working with a diverse clientele seeking support in managing the emotional and psychological impacts of their past experiences. Your empathetic approach and expert knowledge will play a crucial role in their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic setting, preferably focusing on trauma-informed care.
