Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your home while utilizing advanced telehealth technologies to connect with patients. Our remote work environment is supported by a robust electronic health records (EHR) system that facilitates seamless documentation and communication with team members and medical providers. Although the standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexibility is essential, as occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the complex interplay between psychiatric and medical conditions affecting patients.

• Collaboratively develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address both mental health and co-occurring medical needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing established evidence-based treatment approaches, adapting strategies to fit each patient’s unique context.

• Engage in regular collaborative case discussions with medical professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery and improved patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention support, equipping individuals with strategies to manage acute mental health challenges effectively.

• Educate patients on the important link between mental health and physical well-being, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings and inter-professional care planning, contributing insights from a mental health perspective.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support a diverse population of patients affected by chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be leveraged to address the mental health challenges that often accompany these conditions, ensuring that each patient receives holistic care tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Arizona.

• Demonstrated proficiency in addressing mental health concerns among individuals with co-occurring medical issues.

• Strong experience in integrated care settings, working alongside medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong therapeutic relationships with patients and collaborative rapport with colleagues.

• Capability to maintain ethical standards, uphold patient confidentiality, and exhibit strong professional boundaries.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.

• A proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, engaging proactively in shared decision-making processes.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in telehealth settings.

• Previous work with patients who have co-occurring disorders involving both psychiatric and medical interventions.
