Work Environment

This position is based in our modern outpatient office located in Gainesville, Florida—a vibrant community known for its supportive atmosphere and commitment to health and wellness. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will engage in a collaborative onsite work environment with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and assistants, enhancing interdisciplinary communication and patient outcomes. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients' physical capabilities and limitations, and set realistic goals for rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices, ensuring comprehensive care for each individual.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities and interventions aimed at improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and overall mobility.
• Educate patients on exercises and lifestyle adaptations that minimize their reliance on medication and promote long-term health.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring all records reflect comprehensive service delivery and alignment with treatment goals.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, enhancing coordination in treatment strategies.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, instilling confidence and promoting independence.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet patient needs effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with diverse outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your ability to understand unique patient stories and create personalized care plans will play a critical role in their recovery and overall health improvement.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is required.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficient understanding of manual therapy techniques and the implementation of fitness programs is essential.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in formulating and executing exercise and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
