Position Overview

Empower Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Appomattox, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with functional limitations and disabilities to create customized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, regularly updating and adjusting treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Provide mentorship and consultation to other healthcare providers regarding a patient's continuum of care, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Adhere to established customer service standards while engaging with patients of diverse backgrounds and age groups, promoting a respectful and empathetic atmosphere.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to refine discharge plans and long-term care goals.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational programs to promote the importance of physical therapy in rehabilitation and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to regulatory standards, including patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurologic conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy and BLS certification are mandatory.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is required, with a proven track record in managing diverse patient caseloads. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience in a rehabilitation setting will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
