Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role at Rehabilitation Center

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Massage & Exercise Therapy in Appomattox, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, taking into account their medical history and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address orthopedic complications, ensuring alignment with physicians' goals for patient recovery.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, to provide evidence-based care suitable for each patient's condition.
• Deliver in-home therapeutic care as necessary, employing dynamic procedures that facilitate improvements in condition and functionality.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on effective management strategies to prolong treatment benefits and improve health outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with industry standards and practices.
• Maintain documentation and track patient progress meeting organizational benchmarks and reporting expectations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, as well as those dealing with neuromuscular conditions, sports-related issues, and post-surgical recoveries. As you treat a diverse range of clients, you will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as pediatrics and sports medicine, allowing you to develop valuable skill sets while contributing to the health and wellbeing of various demographics.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Valid state licensing to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on patient education and engagement.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and knowledge of advanced treatment techniques are preferred. A demonstrated history of building strong patient relationships and an ability to create a nurturing therapeutic environment will be key to your success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, alongside a robust benefits package.
