Work Environment

In this onsite role, you will work directly with patients within our rehabilitation facility from Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. The work environment promotes collaboration among a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy to patients by assessing their unique physical challenges and establishing effective treatment goals.
• Manage a reasonable caseload that allows for ample one-on-one interaction and personalized attention to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Use your specialized knowledge in orthopedic care to design and implement evidence-based recovery interventions that enhance mobility and function.
• Incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and neuromuscular re-education, into treatment strategies.
• Focus on non-surgical approaches, placing an emphasis on minimizing pharmaceutical interventions wherever feasible.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and adapt care plans based on data-driven metrics and patient feedback.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapeutic journey, fostering a positive rehabilitation experience.
• Document all treatment sessions accurately using integrated EMR systems to ensure quality assurance and cohesive communication within the care team.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance coordinated care efforts and patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with a diverse population of patients experiencing orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these individuals towards pain-free movement and return to daily activities, including sports and work-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; additional certifications such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• A clean professional record with a strong emphasis on ethical practice and patient safety.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription methodologies.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to facilitate effective documentation and communication.
• Knowledgeable and capable of applying current evidence-based practices in physical therapy treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing patient-specific exercise programs with measurable outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
