Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Appomattox, Virginia, where you will have access to advanced treatment technologies and collaborative workspaces. The standard work schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customized care plans tailored to each patient's unique orthopedic needs, helping them regain movement and improve functional capacity.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload to ensure thorough care and adequate attention devoted to each individual.
• Exhibit extensive knowledge in orthopedic outpatient treatments, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Identify and implement cost-effective treatment options that prioritize enhancing patients' mobility and independence.
• Focus on non-surgical treatment alternatives, striving to reduce dependence on medications whenever possible.
• Develop and monitor comprehensive rehabilitation programs that incorporate diverse treatment techniques aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Motivate patients through encouragement and supportive communication, fostering a positive treatment experience.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and consistent treatment strategies.
• Regularly evaluate patients' progress and adjust care plans based on their evolving needs.
• Accurately document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. As a Physical Therapist at Ascove Fitness and Rehab, you will work with patients of all ages, assisting them in achieving their rehabilitation goals and improving their day-to-day functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is highly preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of disciplinary actions or sanctions.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development essential for effective patient care.
• Proficient in using EMR software, including Web PT, for precise and efficient documentation of patient interactions.
• Strong understanding of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern physical therapy treatment methodologies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
