This is an onsite position based at our home care facility in Appomattox, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on interventions, including manual therapy and exercise prescriptions, to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
• Educate patients on proper biomechanics, postural corrections, and techniques to prevent injury, ensuring long-term health benefits.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to inform treatment methodologies, including the latest advancements in physical therapy techniques.
• Manage a balanced patient load while devoting adequate time to each individual's treatment program.
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately using EMR software, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, ensuring effective rehabilitation outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a wide range of patients dealing with orthopedic issues, post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will provide care to diverse clients, which will require a strong proficiency in orthopedic outpatient therapy methodologies, ensuring that each patient's unique requirements are met with sensitivity and expertise.

Qualifications

• Holder of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia (VA), free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably WebPT, to ensure efficient and precise patient documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy supported by relevant research.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
• Proven track record of developing successful individualized exercise programs for diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication skills to foster patient rapport and facilitate teamwork among healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
