Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions through comprehensive assessments, including historical review, physical examinations, and utilization of established assessment tools.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, incorporating shared decision-making with patients and their families to enhance engagement and adherence to therapy.
• Implement and adapt treatment protocols in real-time, utilizing evidence-based techniques that cater to individual patients' needs while considering current health care trends.
• Consult closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to discuss patient progress and necessary modifications to care plans, ensuring all changes are documented accurately.
• Manage patient discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring comprehensive documentation of patient encounters that reflect their progression, establishing long-term care goals.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills, maintain accurate scheduling, and meet departmental productivity metrics, while maintaining punctuality for meetings.
• Participate in marketing initiatives to promote services within the hospital and the broader community, demonstrating commitment to increasing patient access and engagement.
• Contribute actively to department goals, compliance with regulations, and pursuing continuing education opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Encourage a positive patient experience through adaptability and proactive problem solving as patients navigate their injury recovery journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on treating a diverse outpatient population, delivering care that spans various diagnoses, including musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Your efforts will contribute to improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing the overall quality of life for your patients.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possess a valid and current physical therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is required prior to employment.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of two years in a clinical setting is preferred, all candidates with a solid educational background are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems or familiarity with productivity software will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
