Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their unique needs and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring movement and alleviating pain.
• Implement diverse therapeutic techniques such as exercise regimens, hands-on therapy, and the use of specialized equipment tailored for each patient's recovery goals.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving conditions and responses to therapy.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on proper use of assistive devices as well as ongoing care strategies to promote independence and improve rehabilitation outcomes.
• Remain current with developments in the field by attending workshops, engaging in continuous education, and participating in professional organizations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and seamless integration of therapeutic services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide services primarily to adults and children recovering from orthopedic procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our clinic handles a variety of cases, from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management, allowing you to leverage your skills and expertise in multiple areas of orthopedic care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting is required.
• Certification in CPR to ensure patient safety during treatments.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is mandatory, candidates with additional experience in developing treatment plans for varied orthopedic conditions will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience in outpatient settings can enhance patient coordination and care delivery.
