Ortho Span Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our full-time team within our comprehensive rehabilitation facility located in Appomattox, Virginia. Work Environment

This onsite position allows you to engage directly with patients in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Weekly working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, giving you a structured schedule that allows for work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized assessment and treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's unique goals.
• Manage a reasonable patient load, allowing adequate time for each individual to ensure thorough care and attention to detail.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic care by implementing suitable treatment modalities and techniques.
• Implement cost-effective interventions to enhance motion, mobility, and independence, focusing on non-surgical methods to reduce medication dependence.
• Develop and execute comprehensive care plans, employing a variety of treatment options including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Evaluate and adapt treatment strategies as necessary based on ongoing patient progress and responses.
• Maintain an organized documentation system using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, to ensure precise patient records and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Encourage a proactive lifestyle through strength, flexibility, and coordination training.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including but not limited to sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, arthritis, and chronic pain management. We are dedicated to helping individuals regain their functional capacity and improve their daily activities, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia without any sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to design effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, especially Web PT, to ensure accurate and efficient transformation of patient interactions into comprehensive records.
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy, emphasizing evidence-based treatment methods.

Preferred Experience

Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly in outpatient settings, is highly preferred. Candidates who demonstrate expertise in sports medicine and show competency in various manual therapy skills will be considered strongly for this position. Experience in patient communication and motivation techniques is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
