Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to address their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Oversee and guide the activities of physical therapy assistants, ensuring the appropriate execution of therapy plans while providing mentorship and support.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments, including muscle, nerve, joint, and functional tests to establish a baseline for treatment.
• Assess clients' home environments to facilitate optimal rehabilitation and provide actionable recommendations to enhance their independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, to promote recovery and improve physical abilities.
• Implement various physical therapy modalities, including traction and massage, to alleviate pain and aid in healing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to review care plans regularly, adjusting therapy objectives as necessary based on clients' progress.
• Document patient care activities accurately, preparing clinical records including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with industry regulations.
• Engage with clients and their families to educate them on therapy protocols and the use of therapeutic devices, fostering a collaborative approach to recovery.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to a team-based approach to patient care, advocating for clients' needs throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with outpatient clients across various demographics, including elderly patients recovering from surgery, individuals managing chronic pain, and those rehabilitating from sports injuries. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
