Work Environment

Our Appomattox facility features a modern, patient-centered design that supports a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Working closely with a multidimensional healthcare team, you will enjoy a collaborative environment where input is valued, and professional development is encouraged. Your typical working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish customized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize standardized assessment tools to gauge patient progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary to meet evolving healthcare standards.
• Implement rehabilitation protocols for patients with diverse orthopedic conditions, ensuring that treatment modalities effectively align with their specific recovery goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication regarding changes in treatment strategies or patient conditions.
• Document patient interactions clearly and promptly, including evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning to comply with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and share insights on patient care to facilitate comprehensive treatment planning.
• Engage in continuous education and training opportunities to stay informed about best practices in physical therapy.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with all corporate and clinical regulatory training requirements and act in accordance with state practice regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves the outpatient orthopedic population, including patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse group of individuals, tailoring your treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient, and empowering them to regain function and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required.
• Possession of a valid CPR certificate is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience in outpatient orthopedics is required, candidates with additional specialization in manual therapy techniques or sports rehabilitation will be favored. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems is also preferred, as it facilitates efficient tracking of patient progress and streamlined documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
