Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy sessions, designing and implementing treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique goals and recovery needs.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure each individual receives thorough attention and care during their sessions.
• Leverage your prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide specialized treatment that fosters patient recovery and wellness.
• Employ cost-effective and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to optimize patient mobility and function.
• Encourage non-surgical treatment options to reduce reliance on medication and enhance natural recovery processes.
• Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, ensuring that care is effective and aligned with individual recovery goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, promoting their commitment to treatment protocols and fostering a strong therapeutic alliance.
• Engage in continuous professional development, staying current with evolving physical therapy techniques and modalities, thereby enhancing patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management and care continuity.

The patients you will serve at our center range from individuals recovering from major surgeries to those dealing with chronic pain and mobility issues. Your expertise will assist athletes seeking rehabilitation from sports injuries, as well as elderly patients requiring physical therapy to maintain their quality of life. Each patient's unique background and specific health goals will guide your approach to treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred).
• An active license to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia, with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating a refined ability to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Proven ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, especially WebPT, to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• A deep understanding of contemporary physical therapy practices grounded in current research findings.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, we highly value candidates with specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation or experience working in outpatient settings, particularly those related to sports medicine and functional movement.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
