Essential Physical Therapy, a leading outpatient clinic located in Appomattox, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

The role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be onsite at our superb outpatient office, equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and technologies. You will be working in a well-structured environment that emphasizes collaborative care and allows for one-on-one patient interactions. Our work schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, providing a stable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care plans to address patients' unique recovery goals and needs related to orthopedic conditions.
• Manage a varied patient load, ensuring each session allows for comprehensive treatment while promoting quality care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care, applying techniques learned through your prior experiences.
• Implement diverse, cost-effective treatment modalities to optimize patients' motion and mobility.
• Encourage the use of non-surgical alternatives, emphasizing the importance of reducing reliance on medications.
• Develop detailed treatment plans that incorporate a mix of therapeutic exercises, functional training, and patient education.
• Motivate patients through their recovery journeys by offering motivational support and celebrating small successes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, keeping meticulous records to facilitate ongoing patient assessment.
• Document all services provided efficiently using our EMR software, with particular familiarity with Web PT for accurate record keeping.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Your focus will be on helping them achieve optimal health outcomes through tailored rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no sanctions or board proceedings on your record.
• Demonstrated mastery of various manual therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• Proven ability to design effective exercise programs that cater to a variety of patient needs.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for detailed documentation.
• A strong foundation in current physical therapy practices and research, enabling evidence-based care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with sports medicine and rehabilitation therapies is a plus.
• A strong background in patient motivation and engagement strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
