Work Environment

As an Onsite Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will find yourself in a vibrant rehabilitation center designed to foster teamwork and collaborative care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations that include reviewing patient history, performing detailed assessments, and formulating targeted rehabilitation plans based on the findings.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their roles in setting and achieving recovery goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, adapting to each patient's unique needs and changes in their health status. For example, if a patient shows unexpected pain during therapy, you will be proficient in identifying necessary modifications to their care plan promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care. This involves recognizing when a patient's condition necessitates consultation with other medical professionals.
• Document clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring thorough records that reflect the patient's health journey, including progress evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Maintain an organized schedule while meeting productivity expectations, displaying effective time management skills that enable you to provide quality care without compromise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and quality of life. Your role will be critical in supporting patients of all ages as they navigate their rehabilitation journeys, utilizing tailored treatment approaches to facilitate their recovery and enhance their independence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a rehabilitation setting is preferred as well as familiarity with a variety of treatment modalities. Advanced certifications in orthopedic specialties will be highly regarded, as these can enhance the breadth of care we provide.
